Monika joined Yashar Ahmadian’s lab as a postdoctoral researcher in 2023 in a collaborative project with Zoe Kourtzi. She previously was a postdoctoral researcher at Timothy O’Leary’s lab and held a short term lecturer position at the University of Cambridge. She received her MSc and BSc in Applied Mathematics in Budapest, Hungary, and she conducted her doctoral studies in system indentification in Groningen, the Netherlands. Her current work focuses on using AI-inspired modeling to reveal circuit mechanisms and computational principles of visual recognition processes.
